Beyond 'Good', 'Energetic', and 'Stressed' - Training Emotional Intelligence

One challenge I found for myself is naming what I actually feel. I know "good mood", "energetic", and "stressed", that's basically it. I recently learned in a podcast that there's a skill called "emotional intelligence" which involves noticing & naming your own feelings, and that you can actually train this specifically.

For a couple of days now I use the awesome How We Feel app to train my emotional intelligence and I love it. The app has a great approach by first asking me if I feel high or low energy and if that feels positive or negative. After that, I get a wider range of feelings with their explanations to select from. It can also record additional circumstances with the recorded feeling. The AI-driven reflection diary is surprisingly good. And the weekly recap gives me helpful hints on how my feelings related to activities and circumstances and what to remember from my reflections.

On top of that, it's free, ad free (backed by donations) and built together with actual scientists in the area of emotional intelligence.

I just wanted to share this awesome app with you, maybe it can help someone else, too. :)
