schlitt.info - php, photography and private stuff ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ :Author: Tobias Schlitt :Date: Thu, 19 Sep 2013 08:35:38 +0200 :Copyright: CC by-nc-sa === Web === - New RSS reader RSS (I guess) is one of the most usefull and common XML dialects. Especially for me. Beside XHTML RSS is the one I use most. Until about 10 minutes ago I used Liferea for RSS reading, which is indeed a cool and clean tool. But what gives you a good tool, if you forget to use it? What I wanted was to have my RSS feeds integrated to my email client and I found what I wanted: - 10 years on the web... A pretty nice article about the last 10 years with and on the internet is available on Heise. They tell a pretty cool story of the first iX Webserver (bound on a 64k ISDN channel) until today. Pretty cool! - Heise news in a new outfit... As all german geeks out there should have noticed, the newsticker of the Heise (best german IT magazine publisher) has changed it's face today for the first time since 5 years... and not to a better one in my opinion. - I love Google While I published the new website last saturday night, Google managed it to indicate the complete website within 2 days. Respect! (If you get old results, managing something of "protest against software patents", do not forget to hit reload!).
