• WTF: What argument to prohibit GPL?? (en)

  That's really something that makes me more than angry. If someone really has a problem with open source (maybe he wants to sell his software and feels threatened by high quality open source products), I accept that he tries to prohibit that. But WTF is that for an argument, that the GPL violates the "Clayton Antitrust Act" (US law) in dictating fixed prices for software? [Read full post…]

• Charge for Linuxtag entrance (en)

  The Linuxtag e.V. recently announced that for this years Linuxtag a charge will be have to paid for entrance. One day will cost 15,- €, 2 days 25,- € and all 3 days 35,- €. Members of the open source community should be granted free entrance, in the way, that the exhibiting projects will receive a certain amount of free tickets.
