schlitt.info - php, photography and private stuff ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ :Author: Tobias Schlitt :Date: Thu, 19 Sep 2013 08:35:38 +0200 :Copyright: CC by-nc-sa =========== Conferences =========== - Linuxtag is coming... One week left until Linuxtag. - Report from Asterdam (finally) So, since I had no time yesterday to write some stuff on Amsterdam and the net connection there was too poor to upload some photos and stuff, I will give you a little overview now. - Back from Amsterdam... ... and finally a working internet connection. :) - No photos, yet... ... due to the extremely slow and crappy wifi connection here at the PHP Conference in Amsterdam. For that you will have to wait for some exciting photos until thursday, I guess. - PEAR Powerworkshop slides available I recently uploaded the slides PEAR Powerworkshop Lukas and me hold today. It should be linked on PEARWeb, php.net and my website in the next few days. - Amsterdam... here we go... The weeked has come and the International PHP Conference in Amsterdam get's nearer and nearer. Everyone who has not booked, yet, should take to ones heels and run for a card. :) Otherwise you might miss one of the cool and interessting talks and sessions there. - Back from CeBIT... Yesterday I have been to the CeBIT, without any long planning before. But indeed I was a bit disappointed this year. Ok, the CeBIT has not been the techy thing it was in former times, but there were some interessting things to see. This time I saw/heard nothing I did not now before. :( Maybe it were some unlucky circumstances. It was "students day" - nothing against students, really! - but most of them did not know a bit of IT and just wanted to see "consumer electronics". The boothes of all well knowen hardware companies (Intel, AMD,...) had only raffles and no IT and most other booth owners were so unmotivated because they expected just "students"... Maybe it was because of the last CeBIT day over all... - PEAR Meeting Part II (Amsterdam 2004) Recently the idea came up on pear-dev to shedule a PEAR meeting in Amsterdam this year (as there was one last year). Jeroen Houben offered to sponsor the location again. The meeting is planned to take place in Jeroens office, where a high bandwidth internet connection is available so we maybe can offer a lifestream to people who can not attend the meeting. All those poor guys will definitly have the possibillity to attend the meeting through IRC (as it was last year). - Session proposals for PHP Conference 2004 Quebec Yesterday Marco Kaiser and me applied for the following sessions on the PHP Conference 2004 in Quebec. I hope to get there, I've never seen Kanada... - Recently found Sterlings Comment on the PHP Conference
