F. Friedl. I first saw that book while grubbing around on Amazon and I got a glimpse of it, when I visited Arnaud in Paris. The latter experience finally convienced my to buy it and I can say: It really was worth it. - Kylie Minogue performs privatly for Deutsche Bank executives Sorry, I could not believe that. But take a look yourself... here. Is that saving money?? - Lukas stepping back Lukas Smith (until today member of the PEAR group and the PEAR QA core team) has stepped back from all of his positions in PEAR, except being a normal developer. - Karlsruhe demo in Ct Today I received my copy of the german Ct magazine (magazine for computer technic), which has a 1 page article on the Linuxtag (see page 48, issue 15/2004). The article is focused half onto Linuxtag itself and the other half is focused on our demonstration. Best thing: In the middle of the page there's a photo of the 10 jailed programmers, where I'm in the very middle! ;) - Spiegel-Online: 1000 people demonstrating against software patents As promised, Spiegel-Online published an article about our demonstration on thursday. - Linuxtag - Day 4 Sad but true, the last day of Linuxtag 2004 has arrived... Yesterday we've been with a few people to the Linuxtag social event. It took place in the local open-air bath, with a live band and free grill food. Pretty nice organized, especially that the Linuxtag wifi connection was available there. - Demo reports online I found a nice photo of our demonstration. - Report from Asterdam (finally) So, since I had no time yesterday to write some stuff on Amsterdam and the net connection there was too poor to upload some photos and stuff, I will give you a little overview now. - A critical view on open source Michelle Levesque, a scientist at the Citizen Lab of an Kanadian University took a deeper look at a bunch of open source projects. - Zend PEAR weekly news in german I offered to Jan Lehnardt to support him in writing the PEAR Weekly News column on Zend. He didn't decline my offer and so, I will translate the news section weekly into german. Find the first issue translated here.
