It's the first PHP book I ever bought and will be the first book I ever read about PHP. :) That's completly against my previous opinion, which was to learn everything by myself from the web and by trying out. But what I recently read in Georgs and Sebastians blogs made me too curious... - Blogging day... Two weeks ago exactly I throwed some joke on Micro$ofts patch day and my blogging day... But now, exactly this happenes. All the week along I had now time to note down something here and because of the same time lag I did not experience so much exiting geek stuff the past week... - Latest "PHP Magazin" arrived I recently recieved the latest issue (3.04) of the german "PHP Magazin" from my subscribtion. This time there are a lot of interessting sounding articles in there, which I will hopefully be able to read this weekend, beside all the other literature I recieved. - Documentation in a nutshell What is one of the most important things a developer (and of cause everyone else in IT business) has to do and the worst thing he can imagine to do, at the same time? Correct: Writing documentation. - Blogging day As Microsoft recently introduced the patch day, I seem to have silently introduced the blog day... :) My personal blogday is the friday, which is the first day, this week (or maybe about a bit longer), I really have time to write a bit of the stuff down I experienced the last days... Here are some small misc blurbs, which do not last to make a complete entry of them. - 3D Clickpath visualization Pretty cool is, what I found in Sebastian Bergmanns Blog. Sebastian is maintainer of phpOpenTracker, which is a pretty cool tool to collect and provide deep website statistics. phpOpenTracker allows, for example, to analyze and especially visualize clickpathes of a website. Sebastian now managed to get 3D visualization for those click-pathes. IMHO it's still a bit unclear in respect to the arangement, but it's definitly cool to show: - It's so easy... ... to use texts in images. - Speed up... Image_Text 0.3 released - Windows now OpenSource? Since code from Win2k and WinNT4 has been released on the web... ;) - schlitt.* Ok, I did not capture the cooles schlitt domains, but I capured some. :)
