  phpPatterns introduces a new pattern example on the (IMHO) most redundant software implementation world wide. It implements the "Hello world!" tool (which is a common way to start learning a new programming language) using a MVC pattern in PHP.   Serendipity (the most famouse weblog implementation in PHP) is searching for a mascot. S9Y (as most people just call it, because Se-ren-di-pi-ty are just to many syllables) currently has a pretty cool name, but no logo. • Weired PC problems... (en)

  I'm currently receiving very weired problems with my workstation. When I switch on the power supply the HD and CD-ROM react normally and start on, after that nothing happens for a while (about 5-10 minutes), no screen output, no more reaction on the periphery.   Today Alexey Borzov started a huge fire on the internal PEAR mailinglist, where he so kind of merged all basic problems PEAR has together into 1 email and through it out into the community. PEAR currently starts to think over it's whole concept and I hope it will not break during this. If it doesn't, it will be a very much better PEAR afterwards. [Read full post…]
