After I woke up at about 7:00 a.m. (which is pretty late, if you take into account, that this is 2:00 p.m. at home) I started working on my slides again, because the weather seemed still not very good (better than yesterday, of course). When I finished that (around 11:00), the weather had changed drastically... It really was marvelous! I just wanted to go out to get some food and see some of the downtown, when Damien called me and told me that he needed a speakers room to store the conference equipment in and asked me if it would be ok, when I changed the room (to one having a safe). I agreed and switche... to a room on the 23rd floor... ;) You can see both differences (weather and room) below: - Canada - First impressions As promised, I start writing a bit about my Canada trip to the PHP Quebec Conference 2005. - On the way to Canada Currently I'm standing in front of a very uncomfortable web-terminal at Frankfurt a.M. (Germany) airport, simply to blog that I'm on my way to PHP Quebec Conference. I recently arrived in Frankfurt (from where near I recently moved my home away) from Düsseldorf and now have to wait for 2 more hours to get my connection flight to Montreal. - Moving to Dortmund Over the last weekend, I completly refurbished my ne appartment in Dortmund and on upcoming Saturday I will move there. I'm pretty much looking forward to that. Because of the bunch of preperations to do, I will not have that much time for open source stuff until April 8th. - Today it was 1111111111 Today the Unix time reached a historical value: 1111111111, which is exactly 1:58:31. A nice one, I guess. - Services_Trackback 0.4.0 released. Just a quick note, although I'm currently on vacation. - Services_Trackback - let your site get tracked back. Today I called for votes in the PEAR proposal system for my new package Services_Trackback. If you are reading this and don't know, what a trackback is, please read the MT introduction into trackbacks or the technical specs. - Set up your own PEAR channel UPDATE: This guide to set up a PEAR channel server has been deprecated by this howto, written by Greg Beaver. Anyway, the following text might still give you a few good hints. - PHP is highly addictive Maybe old, but quite funny. :) - A look at package2.xml and how to create a PEAR 1.4 package. I recently gave an overview on what will be new in PEAR 1.4, this time I'd like to start publishing some more detailed info on PEAR 1.4 news. Today's topic is package.xml version 2 and how to create a PEAR 1.4 package.
