I switched the theme from my old brownish, dark theme to a nice grey-blueish one by Sebastian Bergmann (thanks!). It now looks much friendlier. Beside that, I updated my sidebar plugins and added the new eZ components release feed. Cool, now I only have to make up my new website, for which a little tool is lurking on my hard disc for a couple of months now... Hope I will find time after my exam phase end of July. - PHP at FrOSCon report FrOSCon ended yesterday, but because the net was cut down too early, I could not blog this one. So I'm doing that now. - FrOSCon "eZ comonents" slides online I just commited the slides from my recent talk "Enterprise PHP development with eZ components". It should be online in a couple of minutes here. - FrOSCon "PHP best practices" slides online Kore and me held our talk about "PHP best practices" this morning at the Free and Open Source software Conference and were quite successful, AFAICT. There were about 50 attendees, which listened concentrated over the whole time. The talk contains an overview on how to behave when coding PHP in respect to - FrOSCon starting tomorrow! I'm just back from the eZ publish conference in Skien, Norway, (see my first roundup here) and will directly start through to the first Free and Open Source Conference in Bonn. As already announced, we (the PHP usergroup Dortmund) organized a professional PHP track tomorrow, in cooperation with the PHP usergroup K?ln/Bonn. On Sunday we will have a PHP hackaton, where every geek is invitsed to join us for hacking/chatting/whatever. - Greetings from Norway! Today was the first day of the eZ publish conference here in Skien, Norway, where the eZ systems headquarter is located. Before today we had 3 days of eZ crew activities, since the complete eZ systems team from over the world is currently in Norway. - Off to Norway... So, finally it's time for going to our yearly eZ publish Conference. I'm really much looking forward to this event, because it is the first time for me, that I get the opportunity to really get to know the whole company stuff at once. Surely, I know all the people from Germany and most of the people in the headquarter personally, but to most of the people from the Nordic (Oslo), Ukrain (Odessa), France (Lyon) and North American (Vancouver) offices I only had email contact. Beside that, it will be a great event, because a lot of PHP and eZ publish community people will be there. - PHP at FrOSCon program available! We finally managed to get the program online for the professional PHP track at the Free and Open Source Conference 2006, which takes place on the next weekend (June 24th and 25th) in Bonn, Germany. We will have 6 PHP related talks on Saturday, held by professional PHP developers, and a hackaton event on Sunday. Everyone is invited to join us and have a good time. - Welcome Serendipity 1.0! My favorite weblogging software Serendipity was just released in version 1.0. Thanks a lot to Garvin Hicking and all other contrinbutors for their efforts to build that great piece of PHP software! Congratulations for becoming stable, S9Y! Btw., the new design of the website is really cool! :) - 1 year with eZ Systems Yesterday way my first anniversary with eZ systems. Exactly 1 year and 1 day ago I signed my contract and started working for our German eZ branch. While being first employed as a freelancer (for my own wish) I soon started to work exclusively for eZ, when I came to the eZ components project at the end of July last year. Sure, I'm also doing some stuff beside (or better: in cooperation with) my work at eZ systems, but the company has evolved to my absolute primary employer.
