Today was the first day of the eZ publish conference here in Skien, Norway, where the eZ systems headquarter is located. Before today we had 3 days of eZ crew activities, since the complete eZ systems team from over the world is currently in Norway. [Read full post…]
So, finally it's time for going to our yearly eZ publish Conference. I'm really much looking forward to this event, because it is the first time for me, that I get the opportunity to really get to know the whole company stuff at once. Surely, I know all the people from Germany and most of the people in the headquarter personally, but to most of the people from the Nordic (Oslo), Ukrain (Odessa), France (Lyon) and North American (Vancouver) offices I only had email contact. Beside that, it will be a great event, because a lot of PHP and eZ publish community people will be there. [Read full post…]

My favorite weblogging software Serendipity was just released in version 1.0. Thanks a lot to Garvin Hicking and all other contrinbutors for their efforts to build that great piece of PHP software! Congratulations for becoming stable, S9Y! Btw., the new design of the website is really cool! :) [Read full post…]
Yesterday way my first anniversary with eZ systems. Exactly 1 year and 1 day ago I signed my contract and started working for our German eZ branch. Sure, I'm also doing some stuff beside (or better: in cooperation with) my work at eZ systems, but the company has evolved to my absolute primary employer. [Read full post…]

As you might remember, I blogged a few days ago, that you shouldn't forget your towel for yesterday, Towelday. This tribute to Douglas Adams (one of the most skilled science fiction authors in my eyes) was quite a funny thing, since people looked quite strange, when I walked around with a nice blue (not really authentic, AFAIR the original one was white) towel. I just finished my online session about our enterprise PHP 5 library eZ components, which was sponsored by dynamic-webpages.de and eZ systems. The talk went really good and more than 20 attendees followed my words around the general design of enterprise eZ components and my source code browsing session through our Gallery example application. I really had the feeling, that everyone was quite impressed and very satisfied with the session, at least I was. [Read full post…]
Fullo made an interview with me, during phpDay in Bari, about Open Source, Web 2.0, PHP and eZ. Also it's on the Italian OSSBlog website, it is written in English. [Read full post…]
On Thursday, May 25th is the so called towel day. Towel day is a tribute to Douglas Adams, the author of fantastic science fiction literature like "A hitchhikers guide to the galaxy". Towel day means that you just take a towel with you through the day to present your respect to Douglas Adams. So, don't forget your towel on Thursday! :) [Read full post…]
