Horde Groupware Webmail Edition

    quite a pain in the ass, which is why I did not upgrade my installation
    for a longer time. Though, now it was time to do so, because I already
    missed several security updates and bug fixes.

When visiting the `Horde website`__, I noticed a new application bundle,
called "`Horde Groupware Webmail Edition`__". This bundle actually provides
all applications I had to install manually before. So instead of upgrading
each application on its own, I moved away my old horde directory and backed up
the database content. After that, I just followed the `quick-install-guide`__
provided for the new groupware bundle (took about 5 minutes for the setup). I
re-imported my database content and adjusted the servers-settings for IMP to
do proper authentication. And wonder what: It worked like a charm. :)

satisfies my needs and is so easy to setup!**

  How did you adjust the server-settings for IMP to do proper authentication?
  I'm new to Horde and am having difficulty logging in for the first time on
  the Webmail Groupware edition I downloaded. Any help would be much
  appreciated. TIA. :)

  You should be logged in automatically for the first time. After that, you
  can configure, which login mechnism to use.

  Toby,

  I am very new to Horde.  I loaded it the first time a couple of days ago. 
  However, I have never been able to get it to load the first time.  It
  generally just sits and spins (the progress indicator just continues to load
  more bars and then just stops).  I am running on Win XP Pro with PHP 5.2.3
  and Apache 2.2 and MySQL 5.  I have followed the installation instructions
  to the letter several times to no avail.

  Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated.
